That Hurt!

Malc & I headed off to the hills early Saturday Morning.

We headed over the rail bridge near Rakia, when disaster struck. Black Ice and plenty of it. Malc managed to steer us out of a serious head on into the barrier, but hit more ice. This resulted in us gracefully slamming the side of the

The Aftermath

Here are the photos from the woolshed party the other night.

I’d Better Shoot Along!

Today is a lovely autumnal day in ChCh. It’s chilly out but the warmth of the sun is making a difference.

Last night was another new experience. We headed off to Campbell’s farm and went lamping or rabbit shooting. It was quite a fun way to spend the night, eventually ending at 2am. I think we

Now Who’s a fool?

So it’s 8am. I’m sat at Rotorua airport waiting for my flight back to Chch. I was pretty much first here and now the place is slowly building up with people – Okay so what I mean is that a coach full of Japenese tourists has just walked through the door! Prior to this my

A Quiet Night in

Okay so maybe it wasn’t too quiet. Photos from Ben & Rach’s place after a couple of drinks.

Flight by Night

A whistle stop tour to Omarama.

Ben had to drop off the crop duster to Brian in Omarama, which meant an hour or so flying and nearly four hours driving back!! It just goes to show what the roads are like out here. Anyhow I had nothing better to do thanm get up at 5am and

Up and Away!

So everyone is in Christchurch – after all it is show Weekend.

Ben took up Mel, her friends and Andreas up for a couple of jollys in his works Cesna, just so that they could get a feel for the area.

Well Howdy!

I have been very busy since I wrote last. Last weekend saw the arrival of spring here in NZ. With the clocks going forwards we had temperatures up to 25c. You can’t complain really!

I have been busy over the last couple of weeks trying to remove the massive backlog of photos from my pc’s.

Pig Island

So, it’s Friday night and everyone’s away. I have the place to myself. It’s the big vote tomorrow for the new PM. As a newbie I’m unable to vote – Sweet!

There are several observations I’ve made in the last week or so:

My car doesn’t have any fog lights, unlike the UK. Not a common accessory
