Girls just want to have fun

After a couple of days returning back from Singapore, I headed to the airport to pick up little sis. After waiting for a while she appeared through customs and we hit the road.

We headed down to South Bank for lunch followed by my really brief tour of what was what, and of course a token

Andreas was in town so we headed off to Rob’s Place for a bbq and a touch of cricket before heading down to the infamous Story Bridge Hotel to

Road Trip – Day 12 (4200Km)

Katoomba to Sydney

Getting up early we headed out to do some more sightseeing. We decided not to go down into the valley but have a look around on our way out. We managed to find a vantage point from the other side of the Three Sisters. We then headed off to Sydney just to make

Road Trip – Day 11 (4600Km)

Canberra to Katoomba

Today we headed out to the Blue Mountains. Another infamous place to see! Rather than get there too early we headed west towards Bathurst. This is home to the famous Bathurst 1000 – a V8 Supercar Championship event.

The track is in fact a normal road by day, only differing slightly to any other

Road Trip – Day 10

Canberra

Starting the day we another hearty breakfast we headed out to the Deep Space communication Station. This is one of three places in the world that tracks objects & satellites in space. It is in fact connected directly to Nasa.

We also tried to visit the Observatory but it was closed for Xmas. We got to

Road Trip – Day 9 (4100Km)

Bega to Canberra

Andreas was up early and very grumpy as he didn’t sleep well. He wanted to get to Canberra as fast as possible so we hit the road.

We stopped at another one street town called Braidwood. Not much here apart from a decent cafe serving breakfast. In fact it looked like it used to

Road Trip – Day 8 (3900Km)

Sorrento to Bega

We were up relatively early and got out of the hostel as quick as we could. Driving down the road to the local cafe to have breakfast.

The original idea was to stop off at some nearby wineries – after all this was the Mornington Peninsula. But it was only about 8am and frankly
