Etisalat Part #5

It was Saturday and I was heading out to China the next day. As it had been almost ten days since I ordered the ADSL I rang up Etisalat.

I was greeted by a very polite man who informed me that everything was going well. The fibre was being laid and I should be connected soon. He even gave me my internet account number.

To stay I was shocked was an understatement. a) the fact that the man told me exactly what was going on and b) the fact that I was getting a fibre connection – roll on 30Mbps!

I thanked him with a smile, looking forward to being contacted very soon

Now I had noted that not much backfilling or repair work had occurred since the pipe had been laid. But that is probably how they do things.

Whilst stood outside the following morning, waiting for my taxi to the airport I noted the six workmen who appeared to be gearing up to relay all the drive backdown in it’s rightful spot.
