It’s 6pm Sunday. After a short while you get used to it being the first day of the week.
I digress slightly.
I’d been looking forward to having Friday off work, as I’d been feeling sick most of the week.
Being sick in a new country is difficult at the best of times – but generally easier where most people speak English. This can then be compounded by transport or lack of it. So whilst feeling worse for wear on Saturday I read that you could buy prescription drugs without a prescription. Which for me in this instance was pretty handy. I actually had a good idea of what was wrong and what I required.
I’d been introduced to Cipro (ciprofloxacin) several years back by a doctor on a trek. It’s a multi purpose antibacterial that kills off pretty much anything. After popping down to the local pharmacy I picked up a pack no questions asked and popped a tablet. Within a couple of hours I felt pretty good.
Some two days later and a week after my return from China I now feel like my usual self.
