So it’s very busy at work recently, what with the job nearing its end whilst the long hour have cut into the social time.
Anyhow I am amidst some frantic packing and the token throwing out of junk as I am again on the move! As I head off to Abu Dhabi in less than four weeks time I don’t have much chance to stop now!
In fact, after a while shipping your gear from country to country is quite liberating. There is nothing quite like throwing out ALL the rubbish and crud you have collected. In fact I have even surpassed myself for once. The old statements and bills soon stack up.
Moving from country to country ultimately becomes easier too. As you end up having all the correct documents stored neatly away with your CV’s and other stuff. The only thing that changes is the age you look in your passport photos.
The awkward bit of transferring of the pensions, tax and bank accounts…. again this ultimately gets easier.
So anyhow, I have just spent the last 4hrs riffling through my files and have finally finished with a pile of paper over 0.5m high and of course some very empty folders. My simple philosophy is that anything I have not used in two years gets thrown out, only the token bills and tax docs survive any longer.
Here are a couple of shots of the new job. When I actually get time i’ll tell you more and maybe even upload some of the Brisbane Riverfire videos from the weekend.
Enjoy!
