Road Trip – Day 3 (2260Km)

Silverton – Angaston

So today started late. We went up to Mundi Mundi Lookout last night to watch the sunset – it was amazing! This is where we met John Dynon – a local artist. I eventually had enough (I’d been driving all day) but good old Andreas was in fine form and went out with John & Co.

Andreas was still over the limit this morning so I had to drive again. We decided to leave Silverton and head west otherwise we would have wasted another day here. We grabbed breakfast and posed with the mad max car outside the Silverton Hotel. Leaving Broken Hill at 11am, we finally made it to the Barossa valley (Angaston) at around 5pm. It’s actually a quaint place and appears to have a bit of life… certainly more than some of the desolate holes we passed through during the day. We travelled approx 500Km today. The whole drive was pretty much nondescript.

Tomorrow we will spend the day on a guided trip around Barossa’s many wineries
