More Haste Less Speed? Not Always

So I finally have my new broadband connection set up. Finally I am in the modern world. Well kind of.

I now have my new ADSL2+ broadband connection setup. I should have in theory get 24Mbps download speeds. To be honest I don’t think that will ever happen but it’s a start.

In fact it’s a pretty special deal. I have in fact got ADSL+2 Naked. It’s basically broadband without a phone line! Yep, I am now connected to broadband without having to pay any phone rental. Pretty cool eh?

I have got myself a free voip phone connection so that people can still call – just like skype but works over the normal phone system. Just like all the big corporations have.

Anyhow one of the strange quirks about broadband down here is the fact that you pay for what you use. I guess most people don’t use the net much but to have access to 40Gb of download costs about $110 a month. So think yourselves lucky that you are not on a metered connection.
